THE STORY STARTS BETWEEN YOU
How RiddleArc works.
Choose your story. Keep your secrets. Play it together.
RiddleArc is a platform for browser-based interactive social story games. A private role gives each player a reason to take part, while shared rounds keep the evening moving. The first game needs minimal preparation and lets everyone participate.
- 01
Choose a story
Browse the collection and check its category, player count, duration, language and themes. Each game has its own premise and requirements. The Last Toast is the first available story.
- 02
Create a private room
One person opens the room and becomes the organizer. For our first game, that person receives a character too. Creating a room does not reveal the other players’ information or the solution.
- 03
Invite your friends
Share the invitation link, room code or QR code. Each person joins using a nickname on their own phone or browser. No account or app installation is needed for the released game.
- 04
Receive your part in the story
Once everyone is present and ready, the organizer starts. Your private screen explains your role, relationships and objectives. Read it quietly; sharing a screen would reveal information intended for you alone.
- 05
Play together
Speak in your own words. Depending on the story, you may investigate, bluff, collaborate, negotiate or deceive. Phones support the conversation; they do not replace it. Play together in person or use your own group voice or video call.
- 06
Follow the rounds
New information arrives as the story progresses. In The Last Toast, six timed rounds release evidence. The organizer can move forward early after checking with the group. Other stories may have different structures.
- 07
Reach the finale
The ending brings your decisions together. In a murder mystery, everyone makes a final accusation before the truth is revealed. Future categories may use different decisions and outcomes; each game page will explain its format.
Your first example: Murder Mystery.
In The Last Toast, players become guests at an isolated estate. They compare clues, ask about motives and test stories against the evidence. The murderer is predetermined and told privately; one logical solution explains the case. Six rounds lead to final accusations and a reveal.
Bring four to six people, a private internet-connected screen each and 75–90 minutes. Costumes and printing are unnecessary. If playing remotely, arrange a group call first; the game does not include voice chat.
BEFORE YOUR FIRST STORY
What to expect.
What kind of games are available?
RiddleArc is a platform for interactive social story games. Murder Mystery is the first released category, with The Last Toast available now. Other categories are planned, but not yet playable.
Do we need to install anything?
No. The released game runs in your browser. Each person joins on their own internet-connected phone or computer, with a nickname and room invitation.
Is the game played on our phones or between us?
Both have a purpose. Phones show private roles and clues and help pace the rounds. Players speak with one another at the same table or on their own group call; RiddleArc does not provide voice chat.
Does someone have to sit out and run the game?
Not in The Last Toast. The organizer has a character and participates, while the room handles round progression and the final reveal. Requirements will be listed separately for each future game.
